ServicesHorseback RidingRiding opportunities are available for people of all abilities, from beginner to expert. Learning to ride a horse at Agapé is safe and easy. We assist you with mounting our horses through use of ramps and platforms, if needed and desired. While riding the trail on our six-acre farm, two spotters walk on either side of the horse, if needed, helping rider to guide the horse, as well as providing rider with physical and emotional support. More experienced riders may be taken to advanced trails in the 200-acre nearby High Island County Park. Relationship BuildingAgapé Riding Center’s services include more than learning to ride a horse. Fundamental to the Agapé experience is establishing a relationship with the horse from the ground. Through grooming and feeding the horses, individuals form a special bond with the majestic animals. Interaction involved in caring for horses is therapeutic and can build confidence. Activities in NatureWe host a number of other nature-related activities for people of all ages, from kids' frog-chasing and foot-racing during summer months, to sharing our therapy dogs and with elderly follks in nearby nursing homes all year-round. We grow fruits and vegetables in nutrient rich soil in our organic garden in summer, and this winter we will explore the outdoors by snoeshowing and sledding at nearby slopes. |
